Your original résumé file and chat history stay in this browser. The complete extracted résumé text and structured matching profile are stored in our database against a random anonymous installation identifier.

Résumé processing

When you add a résumé, its text is extracted in your browser and sent to Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite through OpenRouter to create a matching profile. The original file stays on your device. Uploading another résumé replaces the previous extracted content and profile.

Chat

The current conversation and extracted résumé profile may be sent to the model when needed to answer your question. Chat history remains browser-local.

Job notifications

If you enable the global job-alert setting, we store this browser's push subscription and compare newly added jobs with your stored profile. You can turn alerts off at any time.

Email digest

If you subscribe to the weekly digest, we store the email address, selected topic, consent time, and limited landing and campaign attribution. The address is used only for the requested Synthenova job digest and operational subscription messages. Each digest will include an unsubscribe option.

Job applications

Apply buttons lead to the original job platform using an external referral link. Synthenova records that an application link was clicked, along with the job, source, page type, first landing path, and campaign labels when present. Those platforms have their own privacy practices.

If you save a job to the private application tracker, we store its job identifier against the same anonymous installation. You may optionally add an applied date, current stage, interview type, response time, outcome, and whether the role or rate differed from the listing. The tracker does not require a name, email address, or free-form notes. Individual records are never published; any future outcome aggregate requires at least 20 contributions.

Interview readiness

Interview-practice answer text, score, word count, strengths, and suggestions are calculated only in your browser and are not sent to Synthenova. We record only that the tool completed and the selected domain. Do not enter confidential, regulated, or identifying material.

First-party measurement

We record limited first-party events needed to understand the search-to-application funnel: page views, use of search or filters, job views, alert changes, application clicks, tracker actions, report downloads, sharing, digest subscriptions, and interview-tool completion. Events can be associated with a random installation and browser-session identifier. We store only the referring hostname, not the full referring URL, and do not store IP addresses, free-form search queries, interview answers, tracker field values, résumé content, names, or email addresses in the analytics event record.

Operational data

We may process limited server logs and security information needed to operate, diagnose, and protect the service. Do not include sensitive personal information in chat prompts or support messages.

Your choices

You can replace your résumé, disable job alerts, remove individual tracker records, clear browser-local data, or contact us to ask about the anonymous profile associated with your installation. Because the identifier is anonymous, we may need information from the same browser to locate it.

Retention and security

Stored profiles, tracker records, and notification settings are retained while the feature remains active or until deletion is requested. We use access controls and transport encryption, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
